![]() Code Master: Secret Agent! $19.99 My son received the other Code Master book (Treasure Hunter) for his 7th birthday and absolutely loved it, but it was pretty hard for him. (The age guidelines on THAT book/puzzle is 8-12.) For his friend's 6th birthday we got this one ("Secret Agent") because it is rated for younger kids. It's VERY well done and absorbing, and it's easier than the Treasure Hunter. Notice the age recommendations and follow them. This would be tough for most 4 yr olds but with a lot of parent help they'd love it. Too easy for most 8 yr olds--they should get Treasure Hunter instead. And for 7 yr olds, even though my son loved Treasure Hunter, I would recommend the Secret Agent one. Even though we solved it in about 4 days (evenings after school), it was some of the most excited moments I've seen him have in a long time. And now he loves the stuff inside too, and especially the lock box itself. (You can reset the combination code so it can really be a secret for you alone.) Highly recommended. ![]() Secret Agent AKA Danger Man, Set 2 $39.95 One of the episodes in this Dangerman, Set 2, is "the Colonel's Daughter." Major Khan of the Delhi Police Department wants John Drake's help in locating a retired British Army colonel who has chosen to remain behind in India after its independence. "Flotsam of the British Raj," Khan scoffs. "You're not still chasing the poor old Imperialists, are you?" Drake protests. When Drake wants to know why he should find the British colonel, Khan sneers, "Fellow white man, and all that." "The Colonel's Daughter" is a story of two hardened intelligence officers doing their work in a changing geopolitical environment. Its hard-edged realism doesn't disappoint. "Whatever happened to George Foster" is arguably the best in the entire series. In "Colony Three," Drake has to penetrate a spy training school located in the mock-up of a British village in far-off Siberia. Patrick McGoohan's ability to assume the role of a file clerk is remarkable. Five stars. ![]() The Secret Agent (Oxford World's Classics) $10.95 This book makes me sick because it contains few actions but many, even too, too many descriptions on these too few actions although the author was able to use so many uncommon words to show his ability in describing something. Such endless descriptions are tortures for anyone who reads this 5-page action novel. I really wonder if I need to read other books by this author. ![]() Wild Planet Agent Action Briefcase $24.99 My granddaughter LOVES this toy. We gave it to her for her 7th birthday. She is in super-spy mode from daylight to dusk, and then some. We call her Ms. Shin Impossible. She has played with this almost non-stop for 3 weeks now. We also got her the wristwatch & she loves them both. We'll be adding to her spy collection for Christmas. One of the great things about this case is the extra room it has in it & it's secret compartment. She has such a great imagination and will turn any common object into a "spy" something-or-other and store it in her super secret spycase compartment! The "intruder detector" is also great fun for her & her friends. this really is a fun, durable toy for kids that like to pretend they're a spy. |
