 Fisher-Price Fun-2-Learn Computer Cool School $69.99 My almost 3-year old daughter got this as a present just after she turned two. She has enjoyed it a lot. It did take her quite a while to learn to navigate herself, though that's not surprising at her age. She can now do pretty well on it independently, and has enjoyed many parts of it. But we are now looking at add-on software for her 3rd b-day. A few months of 1-2 times per week use, and she's mostly "done" with the original program. We have not used the letter tracing functions -- just a little tricky for her hands to manage, but perhaps soon. But the keyboard itself is great for little hands to navigate, and she did finally get the touch pad on the side (it was hard for her to press hard enough while staying in the right place at first). We certainly like it enough to invest in more software for it.  The Language of School Design: Design Patterns for 21st Century Schools Fully Revised 2nd Edition $45.00 Nair and Fielding's assemblage of profound school design patterns are an inspiration to planners, architects and educators around the globe. Colorful, innovative, and easy to digest, this book has come a long way from the schoolhouse most of us, sadly, know today. I recommend the book for any school administration, designer or design researcher looking to take a step forward in the field of educational facility planning. An absolutely wonderful collection of images and ideas!  Merriam-Webster's School Dictionary $18.95 For whatever reason, this book is not user friendly. When looking up a word, the book will refer you to ANOTHER WORD.....I don't understand the style this dictionary has. It is USELESS and lacking definitions for TONS OF WORDS. STICK TO YOUR OLD DICTIONARY. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. |
