This stunning Frank Zappa rock n roll painting measures 24 X 24 inches. It is an acrylic painting on wood panel that is signed by the artist, Cal Schenkel. Inspired by the artwork Schenkel produced for the like-named Rykodisc compilation of Frank Zappa's music released in 1998, Cheap Thrills was intended to give both Zappa fans and the uninitiated a broad selection of his music (studio and live tracks), his musings, and a few dirty jokes just for giggles.

Inspired by the artwork Schenkel produced for the fourth Zappa/Mothers of Invention album, released in 1968, titled "Cruising with Ruben and The Jets". Since Zappa was a huge fan of Do-Wop music, it only made sense that he'd craft an album of original Do-Wop compositions done in only-Zappa arrangements and with always-hilarious lyrics. Thus were born Ruben and The Jets. Cal Schenkel with an example of this work (note - frame shown is not included)
