While Sondheim has had his hits and flops, Saturday Night stands out as a middle ground. The score was started as one of his first only to be completed much later, but you can hear a battle between simplicity and complexity that seems to be the maturing Sondheim. The lyrics are of lesser quality than future Sondheim endeavors, but they are not bad. The singers on this album are fun to listen too and the whole CD is just fun. I strongly suggest this for new and old, Sondheim fan or not. Its probably not one I will listen to often but it is certainly a nice one to have around. Favorite song: "Class"

One of my parents favorite albums for sure, I'm honestly REALLY surprised there aren't more reviews for it here on amazon.

Maybe it goes under a different, more popular name that features more customer reviews, I don't know.

I like the music on here a lot, and I'm honestly not much of a disco fan. In fact, I don't like it hardly at all except for a few songs here and there by a few select artists.

Or maybe it's just a matter of it being a pop band that decided to create a disco album that makes it more appealing. Who knows!

Some of the nicest, smoothest, and catchiest vocal melodies you can imagine on a 70's album. Saturday Night Fever is a classic in almost every way! My parents have their own favorite songs, but to me, they're all good. Still, my parents probably like (and appreciate) this album more than I ever will, since I didn't grow up in the late 70's.

Trivial Pursuit Saturday Night Live Edition

If you enjoy Scene It or Trivial Pursuit, this one's worth the $20 or so that you'll spend. Many of the reviews say that it was too difficult, but I disagree. I've had several groups of people come over to play, & it got pretty competitive! The difficulty level seemed right on.

The great thing about this game is this: Even if you're losing, you're having a good time laughing at the sketches. The bad thing: My friends & I have enjoyed it so much that we've run out of new questions.

I am a game nut, & I'm DYING for a 2nd version of this to come out (although unlikely). I would shell out big bucks if they'd compile another disc! ..."Step One - Cut a hole in the box!"
