I didn't even start playing this game until after I beat GTA IV when a friend recommended I check out some of the earlier games in the series. It's absolutely phenomenal! If you can deal with the certainly less-than-spectacular graphics when compared to current popular games (especially GTA IV), I promise you'll have a blast! There are actually many more side missions and fun things to do in this game than GTA IV. Even after beating the main storyline, you'll still have hours upon hours of extra tasks that you can complete. Rockstar should have remade this game for GTA IV. A must buy!!

I like this game, but I have the game already, when I bought it was a new verison of the game, But it wasn't the new version. I case was in poor condition(almost like a dog had a fight with the game).

Right off, this game is a factastic addition to the Grand Theft Auto series.
The game has unlimited fun, and even once you beat the main story line there are still so many things to do.
You'll find yourself making lists of cars to steal, or perks to unlock.
If youre in need of cash, there are hundreds of missions you can do, or you can just beat people up and that their money :).
If you've bought this game recently, you might be concerned about the low texture graphics and bad lighting, but the game is still fun to look at, the characters are unique and intersting, and the animations, though stiff and repetitive, are somewhat satisfying.
The main missions in the game can last up to a week, and the fun from just fooling around is just about limitless.
If you get bored, you can always change the appearance of the character; shop for clothes or workout in the gym to get ripped.
I honestly cant think of anything i can really criticize about this game, apart from the old graphics and the occasional bug. All in all, its worth just about any amount of money you pay for it.
