This film points out something that should be so obvious, but isn't. All other movies are made for and by the beautiful people with six pack abs and perfect teeth.

29th & Gay was made specifically for me and every other perfectly average gay male in the world. This film is so cute, so real, so funny, so different, so light, etc. etc.

I don't know if this says much or not, but it was the perfect movie to watch on a Friday evening...when all the beautiful people were at the clubs...and the extremely exhausted, average, hardworking guys just needed to relax, unwind and watch a light comedy.

I loved this film.

This movie is what the 1990s action movie on-a-budget, was all about: a low-budget, urban, martial arts/action, western starring the incomparable Steve James. The story was nice.Great one-liners.. The acting was pretty good, too. Reb Brown is so over-the-top-- it's perfect!! Wall -to-wall fisticuffs.*The final fight scene against the multiple assailants in the warehouse seems to go on forever( Tony Jaa,'The Protector', would love it!!)--and I was so pumped,after it was over, I wanted to go fight 63 guys too--!! This movie is a classic, and should be released on DVD with all the extras. This would a fitting tribute to the great Steve James.

I've seen hundreds of Sci Fi/Horror movies over the years. This is one of those you'll wonder whether you've watched it or not a few years down the road. You just can't remember.

All in all, I figure it's still better to watch a so-so Sci Fi/Horror movie than "Dances With Wolves" or "Evita". This movie will end up being non-memorable, but it's preferable to being in a coma.

I saw an amazing short film with the same title and same basic plot at the NC gay and lesbian movie festival 2009. I don't know the story behind this but despite the striking similarities, the directors are distinct and this "feature" movie despite being longer is very shallow compared with the short one. I felt cheated because I thought this was an augmented version of the short but it is a very diluted one. I stopped watching it after 20 or 30 minutes.
