Then he detailed, including useful examples, how to get quality links with article marketing, link requests, directory submissions, blogs, press releases and syndicating your website content to subscribers. No one aspect of SEO is particularly technically complicated, its more just a matter of being aware of all the areas in which you can help (or more likely, not hurt) yourself. This book does a very thorough job of covering all of these areas, and is clear and concise when it comes to describing specific tactics and the underlying mechanisms that make them effective. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, this book can be a valuable resource to a non-programmer because of how clearly it explains all of the tactics it covers and how involved the case studies in it are. ![]() The Findability Formula: The Easy, Non-Technical Approach to Search Engine Marketing $22.95 For years I have asked our web design and management company for the information in this book. It focuses on building effective and efficient site optimization, especially using ad words type functions. But besides improving your web efficiency, you'll be taking a deep consumers eye review of your business. This is by far the best web SEO reference I've found. ![]() SEO: Search Engine Optimization Bible $39.99 I had high hopes for this book since it is newly published in 2009, but it's just the same old stuff. In a nutshell, the book just tells us to forget about PHP and Flash and use static HTML if we want to achieve any measure of SEO. That just isn't going to cut it any more. A "Bible" on SEO these days needs to address the fact that website design has become dynamic and graphical. All I see here is that this new edition added alot of general common sense advice without adequately reflecting the major changes in how websites are created today. |
