It is simply put, the best television show, ever. It is easy to see how Don Knotts won five consecutive Emmy's while playing Barney Fife on the show. I truly believe that no television show has even come close to rivaling "The Andy Griffith Show" for its quality and wonderful wit and humor. I've purchased the DVD sets for seasons 1-5 and my wife and I are loving every moment of watching every episode. What a treasure!  Discover the Upside of Down: Investment Strategies for Volatile Times $29.95 This was a well written, informative book that was easy to read. Ron has some keen insights into the fact that markets don't always go up and you really need to protect your capital. He also makes you aware that there are ways to take advantage of declining prices. He fills the book with many of his experiences which makes it interesting and understandable; it helps to learn through experience, even if it's another's. This is not a 'how-to' book, but he gives very fundamental principles in what to look for in the markets and definitely makes you aware of the cause-effect of monetary policies and what can be expected. While a lot of what he writes about is related to current conditions, it will most certainly be applicable in years to come. Things will just cycle and history will repeat. He shows investing is not always an easy road, even for professionals. This is why he stresses the importance of downside protection. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Coby DVD-224 Compact DVD Player $29.99 I bought this dvd player about 6 mos ago and it died. First the remote went out and you can't even manually fast forward or rewind without the remote. That was a headache all in itself having to put the dvd player on pause every time we left the room. My 7 year old sometimes like to rewind to see something again and now he frustrated that he can't do it. Now the dvd player is saying "no disk" when there is clearly a disk in there. I would suggest spending your hard earned money on a good dvd player. |
