![]() Gravity Is Light Today $16.99 While some of the arrangements do not feature the tubist as much as one would like, the overall album is of the highest quality. Very few tubist share the skill and talent represented by this man. I enjoyed the album and it is a welcome addition to my collection. Some might argue the performance of some works are locked into a specific time period (1970s), but this allows a listener to capture the moment in time, and the true feeling of the baby steps of a tuba as a solo instrument. It is the same as Bill Bell's album, they both harken back to the period they were produced in. ![]() Biography - Rees, Roger (1944-): An article from: Contemporary Authors Online $9.95 Word count: 1268. ![]() Going Under (Unrated Version) $14.95 Truth is hard. And, this movie is just that. Here is a man who becomes bewitched by a dominant. Perhaps, in its self, not that unusual. However, the performaces are dazzling in this little jem. Here we see a therapist (with a troubled childhood, surprising?) take a hard fall for someone who cannot maintain a connection. He is married with an understanding wife. Yet, we see not from her perspective. The playful couple are drawn together with its predictable difficulties. I suppose this an allegory for so many (without the usual complexities of income, children, etc.) Personally, I knew before I saw how this would work itself out--we used to call this tragedy--in the best, and ancient, sense of that word. |
