Thankfully when the time finally came around for someone to write
the 'Jeff Beck Story'-style biography, it was an excellent writer from the U.K., in that it was Dave Thompson. He's done a few books on the subject of music/musicians including a very good one on Cream. This one's no exception.....it's factual, accurate, easy to read, never slow or boring, and even has a sense of humor. Some nice pages of photos too, for those of you who like pictures(I do).
In short, buy the book. Between Truth and the fantastic Jeff's Book
by Christopher Hjort & Doug Hinman (a masterfully compiled and greatly detailed 'timeline'......and sadly, out of print now) you'll be set for life!
