 Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier $34.99 If you've played Super Robot Taisen OG and OG 2 then you're a bit familiar with the franchise. This is not like that because it's not an RTS. Endless Frontier is an RPG and you play the protagonist Haken, a Cowboy Bounty Hunter, who is partnered with Aschen, an android. They search a ship where they were found 20 years ago and discover a girl and from there what becomes a simple mission to take Kaguya (a princess from another world that is on a pilgrimage)back to her home to having to save all worlds from the Mild Keil crystals that have been messing up all worlds. I don't want to risk spoiling the game for you all, but it does have that SRT twist. The music is great and fans from the other installments of the Super Robot Taisen Franchise will recognize them and the references to the other games. The battle system involves attacking using combos that involve timing, once you get it down you'll be beating enemies quickly. There is voice acting, but it's in Japanese so all of you otaku out there will love it for that alone. This is a crossover game, so I won't spoil the characters for you, but there is a special feature that if you have Super Robot Taisen OG or OG 2 you can insert that in your DS when you start a new file on Endless Frontier. I don't own those games so you'll have to find out for yourselves. The only problem I have with the game is that the TRUE enemies you have to fight later on though they fit with the game aren't nearly as good as the others that could have been in it like the Shadow Mirrors. That and it seems like you get caught into a boss fight for everything, which though funny can get old. Still if you are a fan of the franchise or want a fun RPG to play, pick this one up. The first picture is an image of what the 1/100th scale model looks like. Look at the aerial base on the first image, as that is what the base looks like for the 1/100th scale model. The next pictures are of the 1/144th scale model. The product description is INCORRECT. The item that is shipped from Amazon is a 1/144th scale model. NOTE: Kotobukiya only officially distributes the 1/100th scale model in the United States. 1/144th scale models are NOT Fine Scale Models, and are imported ,instead of distributed through Diamond Select of United States. Official R-1 model kits are distributed by Diamond Select, and those are the official 1/100th scale models. |
