![]() 18 Fingers of Death $5.98 Whomever Lorenzo Lamas' agent is (does he have one?) should be shot. He has made flop after flop and this is no exception. His acting is horrible... Have you seen 30,000 leagues under the sea? That's a gem. ![]() Interpol Connection [VHS] $14.98 I'm a huge Robin Shou fan, but fan of his or not, this is a really good movie. The action was non-stop, and it wasn't the cheesy faked kungfu over acted fighing scenes either. They were really powerful on the edge of your seat action scenes with great Martial artists who know what they are doing.Like the other reviewer said, this wasn't an all bang em up bloody action movie either. It actually had a plot to follow. However I very slightly disagree on "King Kong". I like the actor, and he did do an excellent job in the movie, but after a while he became a tad cartoonish. Although he was a good character played by a talented actor, he did stretch my last nerve after a while. although he did bring a few laughs and even had some scenes that made ya really feel for the guy.All in all, if you're a Robin Shou fan, or if you just love Martial Arts action movies...this is a MUST have! ![]() Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li UNRATED $3.99 After seeing both original Street Fighter movie and this one, this movie has a lot more back story than the previous version, the script was much better written and much more realistic. The only blemish that I could notice is the miscasting of Nash and Chun-Li (even though there are some limits on Chun-Li's casting as the issue of finding a suitable Asian actress to play that role was quite limited). As for casting of Gen, Balrog, and Bison, as far as I'm concerned, they were more spot on. I actually enjoy this movie more than the "atrosity" from the first movie (although the only people should be faulted are the writers). The fight scenes are as good as the original, if not better. Overall, while it's not perfect, the movie has much more teeth. ![]() Red Trousers $14.95 I'm so impressed by this film. Not only did it manage to cover the history of stuntmanship, and how the field led to so many action heroes, but it was so touching to see how children today are completely dedicated to the art. Robin Shou is super impressive as Evan in "Lost Time"...remember this short film is to facilitate the documentary, I was so suprised the first time when everyone rushed onto set! This is a MUST SEE for anyone who considers themselves a martial arts or action film fan. It's really amazing to see these lean Chinese stuntmen risk their necks to get the effect right..and not use padding and other CGI effects like Hollywood actors do. |
