Little Ashes
Little Ashes

Paul Morrison gave his audience quite a show with "Little Ashes". Robert Pattinson proves that he is more than the dreamy Edward Cullen as he portrays the surrealist, Salvador Dali. The story is heartbreaking and shows just how harsh society can be. Javier Beltran does a fabulous job as Frederico Lorca and the rest of the cast is superb. Definitely one of Pattinson's best and would highly recommend to anyone who can look beyond his "pretty boy" demeanor and see the truly, amazing actor that he really is.

The old version of the book is all Elliot Wave and technical stuff. It's OK if you are a chartest. Nothing is updated from the *original* book, not even the charts. However, the 2009 edition has a whole new 3rd section that basically covers deflation, what it is really is and how it works. It's worth buying the book for this section alone! Let's face it, none of us have ever seen deflation so it's not an intuitive thought process. What really happens when credit (lending) contracts? It ain't pretty. However, the few who have some precious cash will be able to acquire things at literally once in a lifetime prices. In a simple form, if you inherited $100,000 three years ago, you can pretty much buy most everything cheaper today. This is true for everything except gold as of today....and soon that could go down. Prechter also explains why the Fed will not sacrifice itself to save these banks. He makes great points that gold *sometimes* goes up in troubled times, and sometimes not. He gives room that much later on the Fed may "print their way out this" causing inflation. But as of today he thinks the Fed will do what it did in the 30s...save its own bacon and preserve the dollar, and the price of everything else falls. On a side note, there are so few in his camp that he's likely to be right on that alone. The inflation camp is ultra crowded these days. Coincidentally, yesterday Dubai threatened to not pay their debt and *everything* went down (including gold) except the dollar and TBonds. Prechter could be spot on folks.

If you skip every section which includes the useless Susan Silverman, you'll still be left with a barely interesting short story. Don't get me wrong. I used to look forward to Spenser like a kid at Christmas, but Mr. Parker has run out of enthusiasm for the character. What a shame.

Working with paper has always been a passion for The New York Times best-selling children's book creator Rober Sabuda. Sabuda and his partner, Matthew Reinhart, cut, fold and glue paper into amazingly complex yet delightfully delicate pop-ups.
