![]() The Animal (Special Edition) $14.94 i would have to say this is one of rob schnider's best films since duce bigalow male gigalo. this movie is hilarious. i enjoyed it a lot and i hope you will to. I Recommend it for everyone ![]() Men Behaving Badly - The Complete Series $34.99 I was a fan of the first season with Ron Eldard and Justine Bateman. Like most of the reviewers here, I enjoyed their chemistry and I thought a number of the episodes were very funny (I used to watch them over and over on my VHS tapes until I lost them). I also am glad to see it on DVD. I discovered this show midway into the first season, and I missed the earlier (the ones with Julia Campbell) episodes. I don't recall seeing these in syndication (don't know if this show even made it to syndication, so it is a real treat to see the first Season 1 episodes. I also agree with a lot of the reviewers in that this show lost a lot of momentum with the departure of Ron Eldard and Justine Batemen. I didn't really take to the replacements, and the show lost a lot of its humor (which for me was created by the interactions of Eldard, Schneider, and Bateman, as much as from the writing). Even though I lost interest early into the Season 2 run, I did watch all of the Season 2 episodes this time around, and most of them were entertaining, just not as funny as the earlier Season 1 episodes. If you watch the last unaired episode, Carpe Dino, you will see a very young Drake Bell (Drake & Josh). Either way, if you enjoyed this show during the mid-90's, this DVD set will bring back these episodes, and you will also get to see the 7 unaired ones. ![]() The Benchwarmers $14.94 If you really want to laugh then this is the movie to get. With it's high definition upgrade and the humor from the Happy Madison family you can't go wrong. Pros: Good Movie, Great Visuals, Great Audio Cons: Extras not in High Def and not really packed with anything special - Steve Sap Your #1 Asian Guy! [...] ![]() Big Stan [Blu-ray] $28.99 Ok, first off, let me get this clear, I give BIG STAN three stars for the funny and entertaining performance of David Carradine. As for the movie, it's mostly the pits, it's full of unfunny off-putting "humor", lots of prison rape jokes, ha ha. Rob Schneider has never been one of my favorites, and he is no filmmaker, but I also must add, he seems suprisingly competant as a martial artist. Yes, you read that right, the martial arts here are actually pretty good, and I guess, one more reason to see the movie. The whole reason I even watched this movie was for Carradine, who has a fairly good size role, gets to show off his kung fu, after all he plays the master. DC also gets to show his lighter side with the movie's biggest laughs coming from him, with his training sequences with Schneider perhaps the funniest. Again, I do want to caution anyone out there, who is not a Carradine fan, or a Schneider either I guess, this is not a good movie. Most of the time, it's not a funny movie, a lot of the time it's just plain dumb. It's also loooooong, a Rob Schneider movie should never exceed ninety minutes, this one is a hundred and five. If I was to grade this one as a real film, I would give it just one star, but Carradine was my favorite actor, and some times we do crazy things for love. For a truely funny kung fu comedy, see the little known CONFESSIONS OF AN ACTION STAR. |
