 Playlist: The Very Best Of Rick Astley $7.99 Amazon showed a different City on the mailing address which came back to the seller who then contacted me received the correct city and remailed my purchase back to me. Very pleased with this purchase  The Ultimate Collection $11.98 This cd of Rick's is one of his best. I haven't stopped listening to it since I got. It has some of old songs as well as some of new songs. I highly recommend this CD to everyone. No matter what mood your in there is a song for you on this CD.  Never Gonna Give You Up $1.29 His early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Whenever You Need Somebody came out in '87, I think he really came into his own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Rick has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Rick released this, his most accomplished single. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Never Gonna Give You Up", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of monogamy, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the man himself. |
