It wasnt a perfect movie, but I cant understand the relentless bashing of it either. I thought it followed the plotlines (and characters/monsters) of the game a lot closer than the first (which I think was a good thing). Maybe I'm just an unashamed fan of the VG, but I thought this was the better effort of the series. It is what it is...a fairly cinematographic, fast paced popcorn movie.
