really good book; "Bangalore Stories" is a touching quasi-ethnographic portrait of Bangaloreans today. I came across this book by accident and was very impressed.

There's an expectation that Duran has a "certain" sound and really, it's too bad because they have always been so much more than surface musicians. This album will be one that is a "great miss." There aren't too many bands now-a-days that carry the true face continuity but I unfortunately think Duran has been categorized as a fluffy boy band since the 80's when that could be at least 80% from the truth.

This was given to my daughter as a Christmas gift last year by her grandparents (hence the huge, cumbersome gift that they wouldn't have to deal with) -- and it hasn't been played with since! That's because it is such a pain to set up! It took my husband and his dad about 1/2 hour to set it up, with both of them working on it, and I still haven't been able to figure out how to set it up on my own!! It comes w/ what seems like 100 white poles that need to be fit inside of each other in a certain way. Then the tent cover fits over those. And it is way too big to leave it set up permanently; it would take up a quarter of my family room. So... it has been sitting in a pile in a corner of the basement playroom for almost a year. My kids do, however, like to take the white poles and swordfight with them! That's the most use we've got out of this thing. One of these days I'm just going to throw the thing away. It would be much better if it were one of those "pop-up" tents. I would not waste the money on this toy!!!

This book is excellent for someone who loves fashion and the red carpet. The book has great pictures and it's nice to see how fashion has changed in the past 20 years.
