Allergy-free nontoxic natural bedrooms is our specialty. *The concealed elastic band in the fitted sheet will firmly wrap the overall corners of the mattress, thus avoiding displacement. The design of extending the pocket size of the fitted sheet to 14 inches will fit with the most of mattresses. *We recommend duvet covers because they can be washed much more often than can your quilted comforter. Too-frequent washing (even dry cleaning) can compromise your comforter's down fill. However, a cotton duvet cover can be laundered along with the sheets and pillowcases. This keeps the down comforter fresh as well. If you have ever priced dry cleaning for a fine comforter, you understand why cleaning it less often is a huge advantage! *Another advantage of cotton duvet covers is that they are changeable, so you can change the look and feel of your bedroom without having to completely redecorate. Browse our colorful duvet cover sets and bring excitement to your bedroom. ![]() The Instruments Of Classical Music: The Oboe [CD on Demand] $5.49 This album features the excerpts from various recordings, originally on the Capriccio label. The solo pieces feature the great former East-Germany oboist Burkhard Glaetzner. He has a stunning technique and is very expressive, although some may be taken aback by his rather dry tone and over-expressiveness. The orchestral excerpts feature orchestras recorded by Capriccio. All in all, a great introduction to the oboe (particularly at this price). For easy, background listening type of an oboe CD, you may consider this recent album by the great Australian oboist Diana Doherty: Souvenirs ![]() Vaughan Williams: The Nine Symphonies [Box Set] $34.98 Not for nothing has this Previn set received consistently-praising reviews. While Boult and other English interpreters preferences may come down to one's tolerance of their style, with Previn the music is allowed to flow. That's not to take down Boult or the others. Sir Adrian's EMI readings of Nos.3 and 5 are more than a match for Previn's, but with this set you get consistently wonderful performances in ALL the symphonies and extras. This may indeed be one of the most perfect sets ever. |
