With Quake 1 and it's mission packs it spoke of an incidious villen named QUAKE that had to be crushed to save humanity. It was an amazing hellish story. Why did they drop that and pick up with the "Strong Invasion" thing. I mean Quake 2 is an awesome game no doubt, but it shouldn't have been Quake 2. Quake 1 had the coolest story ever second only to DOOM. Which makes me also wonder why the hell did they change the amazing monsters in the DOOM/DOOM II/Final Doom storyline and go with the new retarded monsters in DOOM III? DOOM III and Quake III & IV are good but will never match the terror, funfactor, mystery and down right joy of the origional DOOM & Quake games.

I love Quake so when I heard about this one I was so glad so I bought it and brought it home and guess what it sucked it wasnt like Quake 2 or anything It pissed me off If you are a quake fan dont buy this one Its a real disapointment

Probably what increases the replay value of this game is its multiplayer component with a decent amount of servers and a smooth enough multiplayer experience to keep you coming back for more. While the single player campaign offers nothing new from its engine's predecessor, Doom3, it does offer some Quake 2 fans another adventure following a similar storyline and chronology. If you enjoyed the horror of Doom3 and the story of Quake II, then Quake 4 is a good follow-up. However, gamers who aren't familiar with either won't find anything that impressive from this FPS other than an average multiplayer experience.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Ok so first things first, the overall review. It is a good game but is not worth the $60 dollars i paid. I would pay $20-$30 dollars for it. It is surely not compareable with cod4 or 5.

PROS

>Online is great. It is fun for sniping or just shotguns.
> There are so many vehichle you can use which is very fun. There are 1,2,3, and 4 person vehicles. There is Atv's, Buggies, hummers, Armadilos, different sorts of tanks and different sorts of helicopters and boats.
> Lots of different sorts of maps.
> Choice to be two different speciseach with it own perks and disadvantages. There is the Strogg and the humans. For the strogg there is also lots of different futuristic guns and vehicles.
> You can choose to be different classes like medics, mechanics, snipers, field soldiers and others.
> You can build stuff like anti personel turrets or build bridges across ditches for tanks to get by.

Cons

> AI turn straight away and start shooting you even if you are 700 feet away.
> You can't customize guns.
> Can't switch controls around so there is always set controls
> Not the great of graphics
> Not as great as other gams like cod4 and 5

If you like online First person shooters you should get this. There are many different sort of gameplay.
