![]() PlayStation 3 80 GB $299.99 I bought my PS3 shortly after it released in 2006. I've had it for 3 years and have put a LOT of hours on it since I got it. I knew at the time that buying an original release model meant a good chance of having problems with it. It locked up on me once or twice over the past 3 years, but nothing a push of the reset button wouldn't fix. Sad news today though, I have experienced the yellow light of death. Many Xbox fanboys might point and laugh, but considering the fail rate of the release model 360's, I say that this thing did pretty good. It had a decent run and has served me well over the past 3 years. It survived well beyond its warranty and I got good use out of its many features, most of which the Xbox does not have.(i.e. blue ray, extra usb ports, rechargable controllers, camera card reader, and free online play and internet browsing) The death of the system is the only complaint I can come up with for it, so I am planning on buying a new one since they are only $299 now as apposed to $599 at release. It costs a little more than the 360, but with the extra features, you get what you pay for. When you consider buying an Xbox and a Blu-ray player, your going to spend $300 anyway. ![]() PSP 3000 Core Pack - Black $169.99 In comparison to the previous 1000, 2000 models (I sold my 2000) it's more of a complete product then a product that leaves out the basics. For starters, you just got to point out that the contrast is much higher and the screen has more brightness then the 2000 and 1000 model. It has a built in mic for games like killzone liberation or using skype. And the battery life has been extended. So IMO it's more polished then those two models. What I don't like is the fact that it doesn't past 11 hours of battery life, which would of been nice for games, but still you have a little more then 9 hours of energy before charging. In the end, with the DRM handheld that is the PSPGo, and the alright 1000 and 2000 models, the 3000 model is more of a complete package. ![]() Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote $24.99 It was a little hard to set up, but once it was set up, it has been working great and is much better than using the controller as the remote! ![]() Sony PlayStation 2 - Game console $349.99 Whats there to say about this system...well for one you get great sound, graphics, you can play dvds and unlike the new slimmer version it has a cooling fan so you can play it all day long...like i said ive had mine since it came out and still runs strong and not giving it up...for it being just 'A black box' it can still do the things that the next gen consoles can do like play dvds connect to the internet and still has alot of bad ass games you can still play on it i play God of War and CoD on it and have no problems saying that this system can keep up with the rest of them so to say that 'it is time to get rid of the old PS2' cause the next gen consoles will blow it away well then you havent seen what systmes are still around the PS2 will be around for for a while...maybe one day they will bundle all 3 Playstation consoles then i will have a huge reason to buy...so all i can say for the PS2 Best console since DAY1. |
