![]() Prime Time: The African American Woman's Complete Guide to Midlife Health and Wellness $21.95 This book is more than I expected. The information provided is a complete guide to health and wellness not only for midlife but for women of any age to know as a prevention tool. Excellent. I am sharing it with my friends and family. ![]() Prime Time $14.98 Sammy Nestico's incredible arrangement of "Sweet Georgia Brown" is reason enough to purchase this CD. Actually, the entire CD (all Nestico arrangements) is full of great Basie-style tunes. There's even a funk number (that Basie reportedly didn't like playing) thrown in for good measure; it was 1977, so I suppose you had to. Great performances by Jimmy Forrest, Al Grey, lead trumpeter Lin Biviano, and drumer Butch Miles round out this underrated set. I knocked off a star due to the shifting quality of the sound. Otherwise, one of my Basie favorites. ![]() bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer 1 oz. $21.00 I had been using this product, but the bottle did not last very long. I liked it a lot, but it was just too pricey. I switched to Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum purchased from Amazon instead, with almost twice the amount of product for less than the price of Prime Time. It works for me. ![]() Prime Time $6.99 I have read some great books that Sandra Brown has written, but this definitely was not one of them. It was totally unbelievable to me. The macho man was so verbally abusive from the minute he met the heroine and yet she kept jumping into bed with him...she just couldn't help herself according to the author. He alternated between verbal abuse and everything was wonderful, but didn't trust her at all. So in the end when everything was wonderful again and they were to marry, why would anyone believe he wouldn't revert to being the abuser again. It is a typical pattern that an abuser is sorry and promises it will not happen again, and then it does. Yet, in this book, the author wants you to believe that they will live happily after. It makes you ashamed that a woman wrote such drivel. Why would anyone want to make it appear that verbal abuse is acceptable. I would have been "out the door" the first time. This one is in the garbage. I hope she will stick to writing mysteries and leave romance alone in the future. |
