Why do my bad game & movie reviews get 2 3 4 parts. Back to the review like I said Predator 2 Danny Glovers charactergreat Maria Conchita Alanso strong female character Bill Paxton not only was killed by an Alien in Aliens he gets killed by a Predator he acted very well in both films of course Gary Buesy was just Gary Buesy you know but he was still better than the characters in Alien vs Predator. Kevin Peter Hall RIP very very awesome as the Predator but these guys as the Predators sucked when they were running in costume that's not designed for that they decided to put it in slow mo it looked like Baywatch I loled at that. The score was forgettable Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 & yes even Alien Resurrections soundtracks were better Alan Silvestri great score. This is about as good as DOOM nope DOOM was better T3 was better Robocop 3 was better Street Fighter 94 was better. Paul WS Anderson directed this he directed MK honestly Liu Kang Cage & Sonya were better characters than the one's in AVP.

There are a plethora of reviews of the movie, but my review is mostly a comparison of the BD vs DVD version. I won't discuss its merits as movie.

Alas, while there is substantial improvement in the video via BD's high resolution, its a disappointment compared to many other BD releases. Most video images lack sharpness. Since old movies like Battle of Britain, 2001: Space Odyssey or Clockwork Orange, can compete with recent films like Troy, its clear the folks who mastered Predator did a poor job.

Audio does not make full use of imaging although its clearer and more bombastic than the DVD, and since 5.1 Dolby only came in the 1990s, that point can be excused.

However, since Predator is sold as a discount BD disk, if you don't own it on DVD, its well worth it, but if you do, think twice, the improvements are not that stark. However, the BD made if far clearer to me the pilots were still in the chopper after it was downed, the skinned corpses of the Hopper team appear more detailed and ghastly, there is more oomph in the assault on the rebel scene due to the improved sound, you can see the rounds in the mini-gun zip through the gun and its clear how its fed through the backpack ammo case, you can make out the MTV t-shirt throughout most of Jesse Ventura's scenes, you can make out where the commandos were hit by the predator, which was vague on the DVD. So overall, its an improvement, and worth 3 stars.

Let me just say that while Ms. Cornwell was once one of my favorite crime novelists, this one sux. I don't need torture and hideous descriptions of child abuse to make a novel enjoyable to me. Quite the contrary. I didn't even finish this one, but turned to the end to see the outcome and then donated this hardcover book to a patient library in a nursing home. Since I bought this book at a clearance sale for $1 at Half Price Books, a used book store, there are apparently other readers who feel the same way I do about Ms. Cornwell's later works: Enuff already! Get a grip, Patricia, or you'd better start saving your huge fortune for your (enforced) retirement. JMO.

Los Angeles. The City of Angels. The Entertainment Capital of the World. The Gang Capital of the World. The place where the Predator resides . . . and is willing to find a few more people to add in his trophy collection. To be quite honest, I slightly prefer this to the original Predator film. The mains reasons are that the main antagonist is given a more thorough background. We get to see how he hunts and how he chooses his victims. We also get to see more weapons (such as the awe-inspiring circular blade). Also, I think that Danny Glover as Harrigan is a far more convincing character than Arnold as Dutch. He's not as muscular as Dutch, but he's equal when it comes to intelligence. His ongoing confrontations with the Predator are, in some ways, more epic (who can forget the final battle near the end of the film?). There is as much blood and gore as in the original, but it seems far more disturbing when taken a look at. The music is pretty much the same, but it's still able to blend in the entire movie despite the different environments. So if I had to choose which Predator film I would prefer, it would have to be this one. It's darker and crazier, and it really gives us more of the true star: the Predator himself.
