This is about my fifth or sixth USB hard drive I've owned and it is by far the most unreliable (I switch when I run out of disk space). It loses its connection intermittently. Sometimes there is no indication of the lost connection (I find out when using my indexer), but other times it begins beeping.

I like to keep all of my digital photos and all of my music on a portable drive, but this one makes me so nervous that I have started synching with old drives and other PCs. Now I have data everywhere.

The good news is that it has reinforced the need for a RAID / NAS box for my home.

I did a little research for external hard drives and was originally going to go with one that you had to plug in thats was a litle cheaper but after reading online reviews i decided to go ahead and get this portable toshiba one. I know it does not have the name like seagate or western digital but it works great. It was simple to instal-just plug and play. You can drag items from you hard drive and they transfer very easily. I would definitely recommend it.

We got these for our boys because hey, its a great idea- let them watch their shows for our long ride to the beach. However, when we pulled them out for the beach, it was a disaster. The first player stopped working completely during the first DVD played in it. The second one has played five DVDs, but is now showing the same signs of immanent death.

I look forward to a product with actual quality being offered. Fisher Price just isn't what it used to be. And I notice the price has now tripled.

this is one of the worst kids products i've bought. for [...]+ i expected a lot more from it. the screen is tiny. the volume button is funky and never seems to work right. it does not stay charged long at all. we bought it to have a durable dvd player as my 2 yo is very rough with toys. but it was not worth it. i would look for a different dvd player before buying this one.
