Unfortunately it only worked for 2 months, at which time the egg heating element stopped working. Really disappointing, but I guess I should have known from all the bad reviews that say the exact same thing. Also, I agree that the toaster takes way too long to be useful on it's own. This thing is going in the trash where it belongs.

I had been looking for a non stick egg poacher and thought this product would work for me. Unfortunately, the "non stick" feature was non existent. I followed the instructions exactly, used butter or oil when cooking (I ask you, what is the point of non stick if you need to use butter or oil), and still the eggs adhered to the surface in a cement-like fashion. At one point, I soaked it in warm soapy water for 3 days to try to loosen the egg, and it still required a great deal of time and effort before it would come clean. I have since put it in the back of my cabinet and have returned to the old fashion way of poaching. If you want my poacher, I'll send it to you for free if you'll pay for shipping.

The individual egg cups are plastic. Using fats (Pam, butter, oil) was not effective to completely keep the egg from sticking to the cups. Horrible trying to clean the egg cups.

Save your money and time. Buy another brand with non-stick egg cups.

I really enjoy this egg poacher. I agree with the other reviews, though, regarding the sticking. I spray the bowls with Pam and have no problem, but the one time I forgot, the eggs stuck and were a mess to try to get out. Other than that, I think this is a really good egg poacher. I like the fact that it is dishwasher safe and the handles make it easy to lift out of the tray. They are hot, though, so I have to use a towel or oven mitt, but they cool quickly. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
