![]() PlayStation 3 80 GB $299.99 I bought my PS3 shortly after it released in 2006. I've had it for 3 years and have put a LOT of hours on it since I got it. I knew at the time that buying an original release model meant a good chance of having problems with it. It locked up on me once or twice over the past 3 years, but nothing a push of the reset button wouldn't fix. Sad news today though, I have experienced the yellow light of death. Many Xbox fanboys might point and laugh, but considering the fail rate of the release model 360's, I say that this thing did pretty good. It had a decent run and has served me well over the past 3 years. It survived well beyond its warranty and I got good use out of its many features, most of which the Xbox does not have.(i.e. blue ray, extra usb ports, rechargable controllers, camera card reader, and free online play and internet browsing) The death of the system is the only complaint I can come up with for it, so I am planning on buying a new one since they are only $299 now as apposed to $599 at release. It costs a little more than the 360, but with the extra features, you get what you pay for. When you consider buying an Xbox and a Blu-ray player, your going to spend $300 anyway. ![]() Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote $24.99 It was a little hard to set up, but once it was set up, it has been working great and is much better than using the controller as the remote! ![]() PlayStation 3 120 GB $299.99 The PS3 is a very good system and it's online and wifi is great. The games are all fun and the blu-ray display is nothing special if you've had an upconverting 1080p DVD player but the sound it a MILLION times better that anything in DVD-format. The games are varied enough so that when my little cousins are over I can still play fun games that won't give them nightmares. Plus, the games are in Blu-ray-rom format which means they are made like blu-ray movies in that the disks are virtually unscratchable. I had a PS2 prior to my PS3 and i hava 360 and I lost a few games to scratches from both consoles because of my little brother mistreating the games. But the PS3 games don't scratch unless you take an engraver to them. This is a really nice perk because then you don't need to keep looking for replacement games. This is a really nice perk that isn't really talked about alot. ![]() Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 $59.99 mw2 is the sequal to the game of the year dall of duty modern warfare. the single player is short but full of action. its a must have for all fps shooters. and there is 3rd person shooter multiplayer if u like that!! the online is amazing and the spec opps mode is really fun. so i give it a 5 out of 5. and in 2 years maybe 3, be ready for a modern warfare 3!! |
