In My original review I gave a one star rating because of a delivery problem. The CD case/liner was correct but the CD inside was wrong. This is a problem with the company producing the product rather rhan the product itself. Amazon quickly rectified this and I tried to raise the rating to 5 stars as I love this CD! Turns out I could not change the star rating on the original review. I am deleting my original review to allow me to change the rating but have included the text below.

UPDATE (10/15/2009) Ok got the replacement item from Amazon (free upgraded shipping) and opened case. This time it contained the correct Platters all time hits CD on the Mercury label. Quality is great and so are the songs. Would change this review to 5 stars based on the actual item and Amazon's great response. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to change the rating of the item. If anyone knows if this is possible please tell me how and I will do so.


(10/13/2009) Ordered Platters all-time greatest hits, CD inside was Maxwell Black Summer Night. The CD case and liner were correct (Platters All Time Greatest Hits) and sealed but the actual CD inside was not. It contained 9 songs by Maxwell Black? Note this was ordered directly from Amazon not a third party seller on the Amazon site. Currently contacting Amazon, I am quite sure they will accept a return, just hope that they can supply the correct item. I will give an update to this review when I get the actual Platters CD which I am quite sure I will enjoy. Definately don't like the Maxwell Black CD!

Instead of having several sets of matched or mismatched dishes these platters serve as everything from snack trays to main course. I use them to hold TV dinners and craft supplies. They have been used to even feed the cat. They are in the cupboard and many times just go from the dishwasher to the table to the dishwasher.

Being white they have survived many houses and lifestyle changes. I have dropped them many times and all they usually do is make a ringing sound and go on being useful. Only once has one ever broken and when it did it shattered.

They have survived the microwave and the refrigerator. I have added to the stack down through the years and cannot tell the new from the original.

If you are just starting out in life, these platters can be useful until the end. However I have no intention of being buried with them. If glass is a liquid you could not prove it with these platters.

This platter is exactly what I was looking for! It's substantial, but not overly ornate or modern. I like the subtle classic country feel, and the coloring is great. The only draw back is that it's smaller than most platters. I love it!
