![]() Phantasy Star Online, Episode I & II $39.99 Got the product just as it was describe, brand new and fast. The only thing is you need to pay 10 dollars to be able to play it. ![]() Phantasy Star Universe $29.99 I sound harsh but I honestly tried to like this game, unfortunately I didn't. This game was disappointing. At first I had fun until I realized that EVERYTHING is the same. Exactly the same. All you do in the entire game is beat a monster, open a door, beat a monster, open a door, beat a monster, open a door through the ENTIRE game. That's it. This is a very poor game and the makers were too lazy to create anything fun. You can't even talk to the npc's,they turn invisible when you approach them..it's a pathetic excuse and it shows that the makers were too lazy to make actual npc's with personality or dialogue. This game doesn't deserve to be called a role playing game. I did like how you could equip different weapons at the same time and change clothes for your character and how you can customize a new character in the extra mode, unfortunately the game becomes very boring after the first couple of "kill, open doors, kill, open doors" thing that I don't want to even bother with that. I got Rogue Galaxy with this and that game also has different weapons and equipment/clothes which is rare in most Japanese styled RPG's,it also have a nice story and the characters and the world is extremely well made unlike this poor boring game. This is just my opinion though,I myself love role playing games and for me this game was disappointing. Others might not care for that and they might like this game for the battles but this was just not for me. ![]() Phantasy Star 0 $34.99 I will put it nice and simple. Phantasy Star 0 is the true spiritual successor to the original Phantasy Star Online (hereafter known as PSO) that debuted on the Dreamcast and later ported over to the Gamecube, Xbox consoles and the PC version Blue Burst. If you were a fan of PSO, this game will draw you back into those wonderful memories of grinding away hours upon hours of leveling up, finding loot and having fun with your friends. While PS0 does take the battle/beat system of PSO, they have gone and improved on it as well by including PSU's Photo Art system. While the game is rather fun, especially with the limitations with the DS, even this game has its flaws. Such flaws include not having a quick swap panel system, but is remedied by an alternative method, having only a Level 100 cap like in the original PSO, opposed to ver 2 and Episode I & II editions where the cap was level 200. And most importantly, while it's not Sega's fault; Nintendo's online WFC system. Because of how its handled, you can only match-make with either random people or join up with your friends, (after swapping your friend-codes with them.) And lastly, I'm sure this must be due to the limitations with the DS, but the character creation system isn't as robust as to PSO or even PSU for that matter. There are very few options to choose from when creating your character so expect to see clones running around during online play. :( If you were a fan of the days of PSO and want to relieve those memories with this new installment, I highly suggest picking this up. While it has its flaws, it's easily overlooked as this game will once again suck your life away as you burn the midnight oil trying to find those red rare items. :) Hopefully if this game sells well, Sega will make a sequel, and improve on it. (Hint: Sega, increase the level cap to 200!) ![]() Phantasy Star Universe $29.99 Phantasy Star Universe is a very good game i think. Overall everything is well done. The only two con to the game that will continually annoy you are these: one, The Save Points are far and few between in missions (i kept haveing to go back to just before a hard boss fight on one of the later missions), and 2, the combat is slow and not ussualy chalangeing, but somtime. the enemies have very effective ranged attacks and do aoe dmg (they are what kept killing me). Otherwose the story is excellent, mthe music is amazeing and the customization option are incredible. |
