This book was everything I was looking for when it comes to overall natural health for my dog. I have been having issues with my toy poodle not eating. I had to start making him homemade food, (still keeping it raw) but didn't know what nutrients were important to include in his food to keep him healthy. This book helped explain what he needs and why ( in the process of seeing if my dog will eat recommended recipes).

Also since the author is a Dr in the field I trust the information much more than jut any other dog information book from an ordinary author/ dog enthusiast. The local holistic dr here in the area is too far and cost $140 an hour. This is a good alternative book if your animal doesn't have anything too serious, but need to find a natural way to help before symptoms get worse. So, far everything I have read has been helpful and the cost of the book is dirt cheap compared to the valuable wealth of information inside. Get it!

This one book will expose and educate you generally about nutrition and holistic pet care. The downside is that she can't be an expert in every subject she tries to cover. I was delighted that rabbit care had a place in the book -- though a little disappointed that timothy hay as a staple of the diet & for chewing wasn't mentioned, only raw greens. And also related to rabbits, she got cecotropes mixed up: it's the moist ones that are destined for re-digestion, not the hard dry ones.

Other than that, she has good information for dogs, cats. A good discussion regarding onions, garlic, and chocolate. Raw food, herbs, vaccine controversies. I enjoyed it, and the interviews with vets.

I bought this for my six year old grand-daughter and she hasn't put it down since. She found it easy to work and was even trying to sneak some time using it when she was supposed to be in bed sleeping. Being a retired teacher I was looking for something that would provide a bit of a challenge and I was surprised that such a little toy did this. The game is very durable and she hangs it from her back pack when not in use. She has already looked into the other ones that are in this series. It is just a great digital toy.
