![]() Vanity Fair April 2009 Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, and Paul Rudd (No. 584) $9.99 Single Issue Vanity Fair April 2009 Brother can you spare a laugh?, Is it time to rethink the American dream?; Bernie Madoff's Secrets; How Iceland went PFFFT!; The Hedge Fund Time Bomb; Pirates of the 21st Century; and more ![]() I Could Never Be Your Woman $14.95 I usually like romantic comedies, but this one was poor and humorless. Despite Michelle Pfeiffer looking more striking than ever, she couldn't pull this movie out of a hole created by a shoddy script. The prerequisite for a romantic comedy is the chemistry between the leads. None here. You can believe Pfeiffer and Clooney fall for each other in One Fine Day, but this romance needed more than spray confetti. ![]() The Ten $26.98 Not as funny as Wet Hot American Summer, but still worth watching, The State fans will love it. ![]() Wet Hot American Summer $14.98 Anyone who would give a movie like this 5 stars obviously hasn't seen very many movies. I doubt that any of the major actors in the film would think of giving it that high of a score. It's making fun of great movies (like Meatballs) and lesser movies of the 80's. It's just a parody. Even a great movie like Meatballs (with superior acting, directing and production) doesn't deserve 5 stars. There are some funny scenes in the film, but that's about it. I'd rather watch Meatballs, or the State. |
