![]() Band on the Run $16.98 I'm trying to fill in my CD collection since the prices have gotten so low. I'm not sure why I never moved this album from vinyl to CD, but finally did it and I'm glad I did. "Band on the Run" isn't my favorite McCartney CD, but it does have some of my favorite songs on it, including: Band on the Run 1985 Jet With the extended version, this CD is well worth the price and a nice addition to the collections of Beatle fans. Rebecca Kyle, August 2008 ![]() Paul McCartney - Live in Red Square $19.95 Paul McCartney - Live in Red Square is a great CD with music and history. ![]() Wingspan (Hits & History) $19.98 I heard many of these songs so many times on radio that I figured I never wanted to hear them again. Then, time passed. Now, upon relistening, I am struck by the man's genius for music making. And his studio wizardry. This stuff may be syrupy in places, but it sure SOUNDS better than any of its contemporary competition. The hooks never end. And the vocals? My God, the man has a high pitched sweet voice that is just sheer ear candy. If you are a musician, you can appreciate the song craft on display here. Sure, some lyrics are dopey. But they are now so redolent of a time long gone by that they seem new again and better, somehow. This is worth having. ![]() Electric Arguments $15.98 I am a huge fan of Paul McCartney and The Beatles but Electric Arguments is not for the average Paul McCartney fan. I recall seeing Paul a few years ago in concert in Boston with a bizzare opening that had this CD's type of songs. There are a few rockers but mostly a mellow CD. |
