I really wish the picture was larger. I was expecting a smooth leather surface, but instead it has a textured surface which I am not all that crazy about. It also couldn't hurt for the manufacturer to add more pockets for storing items like cards and cash.

I'm not a pure jazz-head. I tend towards fusion in general and Passport in particular. This album is probably the best at demonstrating Passport's stunning competence. In particular, while you will quickly realize Doldinger can write and play with the best of them, it's the drummer Curt Cress who steals the show. Honestly, the finest drumming I've ever heard. I can't imagine a serious drummer not having this album in his collection, but if by chance you are out there then you must pick this up.

the back page of a US passport has a number and barcode that is typically scanned as you check in or pass through... and that is the page that this case requires that you tuck in behind the solid leather part of the wallet.

thus it is impossible to simply leave your passport in this case when you need to use it - you have to pull it out and hand it to the man

a little thought could have created a case that the passport could stay in... something that tucked the front into a full size holder and left the rest of the pages, including the back page, hanging free. Of course you probably couldn't have the credit card holders in such a case... as the man wouldn't want to accept them as he did his searching and scanning - but it could have been a nice and protective case even without the credit card sleeves.

as it is, it does protect - and hold some credit cards (although not many) - but is awkward to put passport in and out when using it....
