![]() iWork '09 $79.00 I was really excited about numbers after watching videos on Apples website. I do like all of the layout options for making a "pretty document" with graphs and spreadsheets and the like. My biggest complaint, for the short amount of time I played with numbers, is that it take EIGHT clicks of the mouse to create one border. I also cannot believe that the double line borders used in Microsoft Excel, do not have an equivalent in Numbers. Unfortunately, every form I have created for myself, or use for work has this border type. As for Pages and Keynote, I rarely use a word processor, and pretty much never use presentation software, so I cannot comment on these applications. ![]() Pages $32.98 Bought the album when it first came out. Am very pleased to now own it on CD. All three albums are good, but this and Future Street are excellent, in my opinion. ![]() iWork '09: The Missing Manual $39.99 iWork '09: The Missing Manual is a tremendous and necessary tool in order for the novice to realize the greatest value from the programs included in this suite of software. For the novice computer user who does not understand all of the specialized language that even Computer magazines use, I have found the manual to be friendly to use in order to, much of the time, shut off the automatic things that the programs do when they come out of the box. Just today I looked up how to find the cent symbol. This feature, I found will make it unnecessary for me to purchase a program offered by one of the so called "free" dashboard items. I am amazed that the author, who is proficient in so many areas of life could learn all of the details of an imposing array of capabilities of this reasonably priced trio of programs. I am certainly glad that I stumbled on to this book. ![]() Future Street $33.98 "Who's Right,Who's Wrong" has harmony parts that truly soar, with Kenny Loggins guesting with Page & George(my personal favorite tune from the album)."Sailor Song","Take My Heart Away"(although I prefer Ricky Peterson's 1990 version better),and "Chemistry" are worth the price of admission. |
