![]() Reliance Controls THP202 Automatic Phone Out Alarm with 2 Functions $79.99 I am a Caretaker for an absentee owner of a home in Colorado. I was looking for a way to monitor the home for heat so the pipes don't freeze. I had worked as a Mobile Security Officer in a gate community and we used the Winter Watchmans that turns a light on when the temp in the homes dips. The problem of course is that someone has to see the light and then take action. I had planned to buy one for the home I take care of when I saw the Reliance. Wow what a concept! The peace of mind it gives me (and the Owner) knowing that I won't show up there one day and have the place frozen solid is priceless. I know I sleep better at night. The Reliance make a phone call to multiple numbers until someone actually answers the phone and pushes a button on the phone assuring someone actually got the message. The problem? The message is generic and makes a series of beeps to indcate what needs attention (heat, power loss, water leak). No biggy if it would actually tell you where the phone call originated from. You have to rely on your caller ID. If I was monitoring multiple home (which I hope to in the future) it would be difficult to determine which home needs attention especially if the number is private or unlisted. But if your only monitoring one home and receive the alarm call this wouldn't be a problem. It would be flawless and get 5 stars if it incorporated the phone number into the message somehow. For an individual home owner only worried about one home this unit is priceless. In my Security jobs the first sign of trouble in a home without some sort of alarm (or no power, thus no warning) is water running out under the front door and down the street! The devistation inside in these cases is disaterous, take my word. The water leak sensor sold seperate and I didn't buy it but may in the future. ![]() Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds $24.95 I watched the movie because I am a fan of the model turned actor Marco Dapper. I enjoyed this film I thought it was funny, upbeat and witty with great dialogue. |
