 Oscar Peterson Christmas $18.98 This is my favorite Christmas album. The songs are perfectly chosen, and the arrangements are beautiful. I listen to it over and over and never get tired of it.  Oscar Peterson Plays the Cole Porter Songbook $14.98 Look out! It's the Oscar Peterson Trio! I love Oscar and no other pianists can make the keys move as fast as this barrel busting, barn-burning, swinging jolly virtuoso of the piano. Oscar is so amazing, he can fully retire many pianists with just one hand. Don't believe me? Check out his Jazz Icons DVD where he is wiping the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief with his left-hand while simultaneously ripping one scale after another at a blazing tempo with his right-hand. "Plays The Cole Porter Songbook" is one of my favorite Peterson trio recordings. The music swings hard. Ray Brown on bass and Ed Thigpen join Peterson on this classic from 1959, which has to be one of the biggest years in jazz!  Jazz Icons: Oscar Peterson - Live in '63, '64 & '65 $19.99 For a film that has to rely on materiels from the '60s for both visual and audio source, this is simply put: Perfect! Oscar and his group are, of course, flawless... and the performances are simply moving. It is as if you are right there with them, in the audience. Bravo! Of course, Ray Brown on bass lives up to the name later given to him by Lorindo Almieda: "The Reason." Yes, he is indeed "the reason" there is a string bass.
