![]() Black? White! Day? Night! - A Book of Opposites (Ala Notable Children's Books (Awards)) (Neal Porter Books) $16.95 The opposites in this book are unusual and very clever! But the illustrations may be to clever for the younger set. The book is rated for 4-8 and maybe the older ones will like it better. Of course by then they can usually spout the opposites (for that matter so can my 2.5 year old son) but this book brings interest back to the subject. Plays with perspectives and perceptions. But some of the unexpectedness of the illustrations were lost on my son. I enjoyed it and was very impressed that someone could have a new take on such an ordinary and much published children's subject! ![]() Opposites $5.99 My 2 and 1/2 yr old son loves this book. He now has the entire book memorized. There are several other titles from Susan Boynton that he also likes a lot (Barnyard Dance; Moo, Baa, La la la; The going to bed book). There are a few more which I cannot recall at the moment but generally her books are pretty good. Very cute illustrations! ![]() Elmo's World: Opposites $12.93 Many other reviewers already gave good reviews. I want to emphasize that this DVD is among the best of all the Sesame Street DVDs. The song production and animated skits are very good. Our 3yo son is entertained and actually educated on useful topics. Not boring to me when I watch it with him. This and the Elmo's Potty Time DVD are our favorites. ---- Contrast with the Sesame Street Counting 1-2-3 DVD with Ernie, which is acceptable but annoying to watch with our son. I'm happy when he picks this one out to watch. ![]() Melissa & Doug Opposites Teaching Puzzle Cards $11.99 my age four son is learning his opposites this way. this cards set have more oppoistes than what you see in board books collection. I like them 5 starts. |
