One of the best aspects of this book is the fact that it was developed and published by folks who really understand open source software, and who will, when the time is right, issue a revised and updated edition when sufficient constructive feedback/learning experiences have been received. This continuous community relationship is why this book is a *must read* for managers: it is the best of its class, and even if you disagree with some aspect of it, you can hash that out in public and expect your criticism to be dealt with in future editions. If you don't read it, you can't criticize it, and it won't be better for you the next time around.

Start with everything powered off and unplugged and you will be ahead of the game. I couldn't get the router to recognize the modem since I didn't do a full power down at first. Once I powered down everything and followed the sequence of powering up the modem for 2 minutes, the router for 1 minute and then the computer, it was super easy.

This is an excellent book. I have several books in this series and they're all top notch. This one is no exception. I was looking for a good (though not too deep) introduction to Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and chose this one. I was not disappointed.

The service from the independent supplier through Amazon.com was superb. Lived up to their near 5-star rating. The condition of the book was also right on target.
