 One Night With the King $14.98 This follows the Bible story closely in the major facts but the "embelishments" are not Bibical. One does well to read the book first then this adds a beautiful picture in ones mind of the characters and the Palace. I enjoyed it very much. Doing a Beth Moore Bible Study and watched this again just to have the visuals to go with the deep study of the book. Highly recommend to those who enjoy Bible film, especially Jewish settigs.  One Night (G K Hall Large Print Book Series) $28.95 Book arrived in better condition than advertised. Shipping time was also shorter than advertised. Completely satisfied.  One Night $5.99 This book doesn't follow the normal style of writing. It is written in free verse as they call it in the big book world. I never read a fiction book that was written this way so this was new to me. For this book, the style worked. We got to see the story unfold from different points of views. This was a powerful read for young adult and adults. Everyone knows at school there are different crowds. You have the stoners, the drinkers, the popular kids, the geeks, and so on. In this book you will find different kids from different perspectives, yet they all fit together. We have the teenage pregnancy story that we hear about around town and the struggle for young parents. I was deeply moved by this book and I am already passing it to my teenage daughters to read. The author did a wonderful job with free verse and I hope that teens everywhere will read this and take it to heart. There is a lesson to be learned in each characters story. |
