![]() Knowing Jesus Through the Old Testament $17.00 This book is a Tour de Force about Jesus and how we need to look to the Old Testament to adequately understand how and why Jesus is the Savior. The author Dr. Christopher J.H. Wright at times seems to present "too much" on one topic, however, how can one present "too much" about Jesus? This book is a solid choice for scholar, student and anyone who desires to know the historical Jesus, and the deeper O.T. Theological/Christological implications. You will not be disappointed. ![]() The Old Testament: Text And Context $34.95 This is a good intro to the Old Testament. I have seen more complicated books but I'm glad I started with this one. ![]() Reading the Old Testament: An Introduction $19.95 i like it. i like how it has study questions. the font isnt really big but the normal smaller size font you would get. would i buy it again, yep. they used it at my uni too so it must be ok ![]() The Old Testament: A Historical and Literary Introduction to the Hebrew Scriptures $69.95 This book is well planed out and easy to use. We used this textbook in my Undergraduate Old Testament class, as well as in my Graduate level seminary courses. This book makes exalent points that people of most levels of learning can struggle with. It think the book lays out the ideas in a way that the can be understood easily and informative of the history in the Near East context of the Hebrew Scriptures. Other students have said that this book helped them to challenge what it is that we see in the scriptures in new ways. I see this text book as a way to guide our understanding of the context the scriptures are written in so that we can better understand the ideas and thoughts that came out of that time.
