Friday Night Lights - The First Season

I am not into football at all and hadn't considered watching Friday Night Lights until a friend suggested it. From the beginning, I had a very visceral reaction to this show.

I found the characters to be complicated and interesting, and that there were often "two sides to a story." I know it sounds hackneyed, but it feels like I know the characters -- maybe more like this is a documentary than a fictional TV series. The writing and the acting is very moving, and I found myself very sad when it (Season One) was finished. Satisfied, but sad.

On to Season Two... I highly suggest picking this up!

Brothers and Sisters - The Complete First Season

I am a huge fan of the 90's show "thirtysomething" and didn't realize, until two weeks ago, both Patricia Wttig and Ken Olin were a part of this show. Once I did, I got this DVD set and started watching! What an amazing show! I spent the last week watching one episode after another not wanting to leave these characters and wanting to see what happens next. Sally Field is wonderful as Nora! And, who doesn't like see Rob Lowe on screen?

The women on this show really shine. I have to admit, I'm not a total fan of the actors who play Kevin and Tommy, but they are given great storylines.

My only slight criticism is that, at times, the writing does seem weak. But then it comes on so strong. I found myself crying at the loss of the baby and when Justin left for Iraq.

I will never miss an episode of this show again.

Friday Night Lights: The Second Season

This is a great show to watch for anyone who likes Texas charm, drama and needs a little escape. It surprises me that this show was never really popular, the story line is interesting and the acting looks effortless. I'm not really a fan of football as it's not a popular sport in my country but the football scenes are exciting. I don't like this second season just as much as the first and the third one, but it's watching it is still a very nice way to spend a few rainy days. Okay I have to add: most of these actors look gorgeous.

Friday Night Lights: The Third Season

Good drama series. Better then hero's, if you love drama series and texas football this is the perfect series for you. Start in the beginning with series one and i guarantee you will want to finish them all in one night, it's that addicting. Very good series.
