I found this book through the website of one of my other favorite authors, Jeffrey Gitomer, and figured if no-nonsense Gitomer recommended it, it would be worth checking out. Indeed! Rumbauskas' book is an excellent resource for someone who is looking to expand their marketing efforts via the power of the web. It is most useful for those selling "products"; for those of us selling "services" (I'm a marketing/branding consultant) it is still extremely worthwhile. One of the things I like best about the book is the author's pragmatic perspective: he's tried and tested (literally!) many different approaches, and he tells you point-blank what works and why. This is great hands-on/step-by-step stuff, so calling it a "playbook" is a perfect description- - this is a book that you USE, and use NOW; it's not a rah-rah book of strategies or theories. It's full of battle-tested tactics, which I appreciated; I am just getting started implementing them after reading the book this week. Incidentally, throughout the book Rambauskas continually refers you to his website. While this can be distracting, he seems to be doing so with the intent of providing you with the most up-to-the-minute information; in my opinion, to remain relevant a book with so much practical online content must do something like this or it would be frustratingly out-of-date even before it was published. Unless you consider Casino Royale- with David Niven part of the franchise- this is the clear cut worst Bond ever made. You have to be a die-hard Bond fan to say you like this-it's bad folks. The Blu-ray version is better as you would expect, but as much as you want to shine this turd -it's still a turd.

If you haven't seen Dr. No, Goldfinger, Thunderball, and the BEST Bond - From Russia with love- (even if you have) see them or see them again. Don't buy this- it will be $9 soon if you really want it.

This book actually should be called "How to become a sociopath". I never understood people who make aquintances just on the basis does this new contact give him/her value.
Well, mr. Keith Ferrazzi is extraordinary good at becoming friend to the people if that brings him any value. He gives such "valuable" advices as: "group people on the basis of their importance and keep contacts with them accordingly often", or "not only to make phone calls to your contacts, but also make "upgraded phone calls" to the more "worthy ones".
Guess how you get the privilege to get "upgraded phone call" if you are in Ferrazi's list? Yes, you are right - if you can contribute to his business more.
In the end of the book he totally freaked me out saying, that he has all the contacts of Richard Branson, although he does not know him, but he's willing to become his friend. If I was mr. Branson I would be scared.
Actually, I cannot understand, how I was able to read all the book. I was hoping for some breakthrough, some good ideas, but there are none.
This is just a book by a guy, who had some psychological problems in the childhood and wants to increase his self esteem by having a long list of the people to call them "friends", but actually just looks pathetic.
