![]() Last Call $7.78 This is one movie every writer should see. It is about F. Scott Fitzberald, an amazing writer who had definitely some battles to overcome but he always kept his mind clear for writing. Jeremy Irons plays Fitzgerald, Neve Campbell plays his secretary who grows very close to him in his last moment. Through all off this, Fitzgerald writes his best work. It is not a joyous film but one to be seen for sure ![]() Wild Things (Unrated Edition) $14.94 I'm a big fan of this movie. It has a certain "feel" and atmosphere throughout that is highly appealing to me, lots of shots in the everglades, along a beach/shore..I like that. The who-dun-it part is pretty cool too. The Blu Ray is worth buying; I upgraded from the SD version and was pleasantly surprised. ![]() Neve Campbell $16.95 Basically, this soft-cover book is a compilation of interviews given by Neve herself, by her brother Christian, and by colleagues and casts of her various films and tv shows. Many of the interviews are available online (if you google Neve Campbell) and if you're into Neve, you may have already read some of them. However, the author has put all the pieces together nicely and it was good to read these interviews in a biographical format. Neve has an interesting though as yet short history (she's only 34!) and there are some insights into her character and what makes her tick. There is, as another reviewer noted, a lot of information about co-stars and others, that I could have lived without. But had this information not "padded" the strictly Neve biography, the book would have been a slim volume indeed, as she is still young enough to not not have lived through a lifetime of experiences. The book only goes to the year 2000, the end of Party of Five, and the start of "Panic" and "Drowning Mona." Since then, Neve has done quite a lot of work. Perhaps an update is in order. The photos are good, though not great. (I would have picked different ones.) What's nice about the pictures is they are full page, not little thumbnails, and the reproduction is very good. This is not Doris Kearns Goodwin writing about Abraham Lincoln, but overall, it's a light, interesting read if you're a Neve fan, and you'll like the book and feel it's money well spent. ![]() The Canterville Ghost $7.98 We liked this one. Pretty standard story but a really fun take for the haunted holiday viewing. |
