I'm not a huge Nascar fan, at least I wasn't before meeting my father&brother-to-be. However, I love video games, and racing ones. Christmas was coming up, and I had a pretty good flow of money, so I decided to splurge a little and make it a good holiday (as it had been canceled due to my family's money-issues and such). I bought this for my father, and he's already played it a bunch of times, and he's not much of a gamer, at all. He loves the action, and the real-life-like effects. I'm glad I bought it. It's a good series overall, actually. I've got 07 and 09 as well. Love 'em all.

I bought this game looking for a fun to play nascar game. That is exactly what it is. For those of you who have played Papyrus's nascar racing 2002 season it is nothing like it. It has more of an arcade feel than anything. Dont let the shiny graphics fool you, it is not realistic. You cannot spin out no matter how hard you try. The AI is stupid, and the carreer mode bites. It is very fun to play, but not the sim i was looking for. I think Thunder 2003 will be a lot better.
