![]() Peter Pan (Widescreen Edition) $9.99 Tired of seeing the Disney versions of every fairy tale there is? Well then if you like the story of Peter Pan, and you want a non-Disney version, then this is the movie. I actually saw this in the movie theater when it came out, with no expectations whatsoever. I was actually very impressed. If you want a comedic version of Peter Pan, then go watch Hook with Robin Williams. If you want a realistic story version with good acting, then watch this movie. The stunts and cgi seem to be well done, and there seemed to be nothing lacking in this movie. I highly reccommend it. ![]() Matilda (Special Edition) $12.99 I absolutely loved this movie, but was irked by the fullscreen format. Who would expect a "Special Edition" to have a modified aspect ratio? Just on a hunch, I checked out Amazon.co.uk, and the Special Edition there is presented in widescreen format, as the picture was intended to be seen. If you have a multi-region dvd player and would like to see the widescreen version, buy the PAL disc from the U.K. Be warned that it is region 2 and will not play on American dvd players unless they are multi-region. ![]() Nanny McPhee (Full Screen Edition) $29.98 The kids love it, I love it, and the movie attempts to teach responsibility. Also has a great ending (generally lacking from movies these days). It's a great family movie. The only con that I saw is that the nanny describes herself as a "government nanny" (referring to her employment agency). This sounds too much like big government. Very scary and just in time for Halloween. ![]() Night at the Museum (Widescreen Edition) $19.98 This movie was funny. Kept adults and teens interested too. Good cast! A little rude, but overall good. |
