The games is fun once it's loaded. Making a freethrow and alley-oop is so easy. The game is fun. However, it takes up to 2-mins to load and by the time it loads, I dont feel like playing it anymore. Having said that, I sold it just after a week. I used to play NBA 2K and I thought NBA Live was better. With the slow loading time, I'm going back to NBA 2K.

The graphics are great and the game is fun overall. However, it is a little annoying that the referees call things against you and do not on the other team. For example, when you are throwing in the ball, if you don't get it in in like 4 seconds it is a turnover. OK, fine, as long as it is called the same for the other team but it isn't. They have an unlimited time limit to get the ball in, I have counted almost 10 SLOW seconds before they have thrown in the ball and no whistle.

Also, defense is horrible! Unless you change the fouls to low in the game play, almost every contested shot is a foul. It is also very difficult to block their shot, but they can block your shot all day.

It is fun to play for a while but it gets frustrating after a bit. I suggest shopping around before making a decision.

Personally, I preferred NBA 2K7 over this version. Although it's easy to adjust the settings like speed, and game sliders (% FT, % 3-Point, etc.); I have trouble getting the settings to my own liking, which is a fast-paced high-percentage shots made kind of game. But that doesn't mean I don't want the computer to be challenging. And I can't figure out a ratio that I like where I don't just blow out the computer every time.
