While this album does not measure up to "Climbing" or "Nantucket Sleighride", it is an essential album for Mountain fans. Although it is not really an album by Mountain (i.e. it is a solo album by ex-Vagrant Leslie West) with Felix Pappalardi producing and playing bass and piano with drums and additional keyboards provided by two other musicians who would not be brought into the Mountain fold. This album contains classic songs such as "Long Red", "Blood of the Sun", "Dreams of Milk and Honey", etc. It would have been better if Felix had Corky Laing and Steve Knight playing on this album instead.

I was in high school when this came out. It's a real treasure for Leslie West and Mountain fans. "Crossroader" plays in my head quite a bit.

I first came across Mountain in my early twenties (yes I am 70's rock fun) and I was blown away by it. Those days vinyl ruled and this was an album that I always wanted to eventually have on CD for prosperity because they do not make music like this anymore.

Thank Heavens I only acquired this as a gift for another. I listened to the music, did not like it. I felt they are trying to repeat the great music of the Doors, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Guns and Roses ect. Well, they have not suceeded in my opinion. No dought they have a following, but I am not one of them.
However, I do thank Amazon for there prompt service as usual
