At first the book is a little hard to get into just because you aren't familiar with the world that Stephanie Meyer has created, once familiar with the names of the new species she has brought to life the story comes to life. I am a big fan of the Twilight series but I think I would venture to say that I like The Host even more. I like the way Meyer's writes because you really get to know the main character and it feels as if you are the one living the story.

I understand that reading a book in another laguage can be a little intimidating, however after taking only three years of french in highschool, I read this book with ease. If there is anyone who wants to try her hand at reading french, I suggest this book. It's as a fun a read in french as it is in english. I enjoyed every minute of it, and found myself learning more and more about the language its self in the process. Twilight/ Fascination...either way it's a masterpiece that should be read.

Kat's book could've been A LOT better. I don't know what happened. I wanted to throw this thing away even half way thru the book. It was so annoyingly predictable, I wanted to scream. Hope the others are a Lot better. I couldn't even relate to the characters in this one. This was VERY poorly written; I mean, the ending was the best part cuz the story was over.
