I was excited when the helmet arrived today and let me tell you, it's huge! It has to be as big as the chief himself, that is if he were a real living person. It's made of plastic, not very thick but not too thin. The led/lights on the side of the helmet pop out to replace their batteries, they are in there very loosely and easy to remove. There were some parts that were popped out of their places, but didn't take long to put back in. The first reviewer was right that it does seem to be made a little on the cheap side. But if you're a collector, and not planning on wearing it into battle or on a motorcycle, then it's perfect.

The inside of the helmet has a 1 inch layer of one piece foam inside a mesh cloth of some sort.

The overall detail of the helmet is about 80% accurate to the game (or the actual non-wearable "without modification" Legendary Helmet that comes with a game). Though the back of it isn't as detailed as I had hoped. Vision isn't impaired too much when looking out of it. If you are a hardcore fan and collector of Halo stuff, this is a must have!
