 MH $13.96 When Immature burst onto the scene back in 1992 it was always clear that Marques was the star of the group. When Marques finally went solo eleven years one had to wonder would have success like Ralph Tresvant & Michael Jackson or would he flop like Marc Nelson and Tony Thompson? Luckily Marques had success like the former singers. The first single That Girl written by a young Ne-Yo & produced by R. Kelly received little acclaim however his second single Clubbin was a huge hit stateside & overseas. While the second single Pop That Booty didn't catch on in the states it fared very well in the UK. The only ballad single released from the album was Because Of You, which is ironic because the strength of the album in the ballads. Marques excels on Cancel & Good Luck but the sweet Can I Call You & honest Love's A Game is where Houston effortlessly flexes his considerable vocal skills the most effective. Marques Houston is well on his way to being one of the better singers in R&B and is one of the few singers actually doing something right in the Genre.  Naked $13.98 Marques Houston (MH) is soooo underrated. All 3 of his solo albums (MH, Naked, and Veteran) are a ten. I promise you can listen to whole album without having to fast forward. If you haven't heard him since he left Immature and IMx and think that he's kiddie, you are COMPLETELY wrong. I mean the title of the album should tell you he's all grown up. Notable tracks: Naked, Sex Wit You, and Everything. It's a must have if you call yourself an rnb fan. |
