I have read the other reviews and am sorry to hear a few got defects. My daughter got this as a gift at about 4 or 5 months old, has used it every day since (she is now almost 2 1/2). She has dropped it a few times on a hard wood floor, no problems. We ecided it was better left in her crib. She won't go to sleep without it so I keep extra AAA batteries at all times.

This CD has been magic for us. My sister gave it to us before our 2 year-old was born because she thought the vocalist sounded like me. We've used it as part of our bedtime routine ever since. Our daughter has trouble making it past track 4, and it works for bedtime and naptime. Now we have a newborn and have purchased a copy for her room, each of the grandparent's houses, and my sister who had her son last week. I'd buy 10 more if I had people to give them to. It is wonderful. Oh, and the songs are nice, too... :)
