I really like the cd. I saw reviews that stated it is not like her normal music, I can not attest to that. However, the music on this cd is good. My husband found it to be "girl" music. lol. But, seeing how she is one, I would say that is good. I would pay to see her in concert.

The fist listen to Tim McGraw's Southern Voice CD and I thought, it's ok, but not up there with say Set This Circus Down. But then I listened a few more times and have decided Southern Voice is my favorite Tim McGraw CD. Every time I try to decide which song is my favorite I just can't.

I agree with some of the other reviews that It's A Business... and Southern Voice are the weakest songs on the CD - but they do seem like just the right stuff for today's radio. And except for those 2, every song on Southern Voice I can "feel it in my soul." They are slices of life and McGraw is a master at telling those stories. Even if we have not personally lived those stories we can all relate to them. I can SEE the story unfold as if I'm watching a video as McGraw is singing the songs.

I first heard Tim sing "Still" and "You Had To Be There" in concert summer of 2008 and loved them both from the first listen. "Still" reminds me to just be still an enjoy my life - all the fond memories of the past and those to come.

"If I Died Today" has me in tears every time I hear it. Admit it, who hasn't wondered what would happen ... "Love You Goodbye" tells a story that too many people have lived and is another that makes me tear up when I hear it.

The haunting melody is what first caught my attention on "Good Girls" but it was the lyrics that keep that attention. Another song that shows McGraw is not afraid to take risks.

The uptempo love gone wrong "Ghost Town Train" has a melody that stays in your head.

Southern Voice is a CD I have recommended to every one of my friends.

I bougth this second Luke Bryan's CD because I really enjoyed his first one but after listening to it, I became a little disappointed about most of the songs, there are too many rocky sounds for my taste on this CD, the only song I liked was Do I, a smooth country ballad indeed, the rest is pure rock music but not country, I hope that Luke Bryan returns in the next future to a more classic country sound as his 2007 I'll Stay Me debut album.
